Serena Williams was frustrated during her visit to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris when she and her daughters, Olympia and Adira River, were denied entry to dine at the Peninsula Paris luxury hotel.
Despite being a prominent figure at the Games, attending events like the opening ceremony and the men’s tennis final, her experience was marred by this incident. Williams shared on X (formerly Twitter) that they were turned away from the empty restaurant.
“Yikes @peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids. Always a first,” Serena Williams wrote.
