Mick Schumacher will not consider other solutions until the road to Formula 1 is block
F1 Schumacher – Despite the ‘adverse’ market scenarios following the not exactly positive experience in Haas, Mick Schumacher firmly believes in his return to Formula 1 as early as the 2025 season. The German driver, currently third driver for Mercedes and involved with Alpine in the world championship Endurance does not intend to explore alternative paths until access to the Circus is permanently closed.
There are two solutions in which the ‘Kaiser’s’ son has the most confidence: Alpine, still looking for a driver to partner with Esteban Ocon (even if at the moment the favorite seems to be Jack Doohan), and Sauber/Audi led by Mattia Binotto who could focus on a young talent after adding Nico Hulkenberg to the team. Two options that the class of ’99 will try to pursue before considering other destinations such as IndyCar.
Schumacher and the F1 priority
“I believe that the situation in Formula 1 is still very open and uncertain. At the moment, there are three or four teams that have yet to confirm their drivers. One rider in particular has locked down the market, but now that his position has been defined, I am convinced that things will move quickly. Many teams don’t feel the urgency to make an immediate decision, which leaves me waiting a bit. However, F1 will always remain my top priority, so until I have definitive confirmation, I will continue to focus on this goal
