Kevin Durant appears in Phoenix and sends Suns fans wild

The Suns' new star did not play but proved he is already an idol at the Footprint Center in Phoenix

Phoenix Suns fans welcomed Kevin Durant, who made his non-playing debut with an extraordinary ovation at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. Standing on their feet, they almost broke their hands greeting their new player.

The unveiling occurred before the Suns‘ 120-109 win over the Sacramento Kings with the Suns‘ three current stars Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton putting on a show in front of their new teammate.

Paul provided a basketball masterclass with 17 points and 19 assists, Booker scored an additional 32 points and Ayton contributed a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds.

Durant‘s playing debut, however, will not come until after the All-Star break. The forward is out for the All-Star Game due to a knee injury.
