Nick Kyrgios’ manager Daniel Horsfall has revealed the horrific messages and threats he has received from fans.
Horsfall is the long-time friend of the Australian tennis star who shifted to being his manager in June 2022.
Kyrgios is a divisive figure in the Australian sporting landscape, having his fair share of critics as well as supporters.
However, Horsfall has revealed just how far over the line some people go when it comes to their hatred.
In the wake of commentator Todd Woodbridge calling out a fan for similar horrific messages, Horsfall shared an email that he received.
In response to Woodbridge on social media he wrote ‘yours is pretty light to be fair. Here’s what I see’.
The email read: “So you are the human wart who manages Nick, the filthy grub?
What a f***ing c***head you must be eh? Not ashamed? Not embarrassed? You f***ing should be you worthless POS,” the email read.
“Can you not get the c*** to shut up? One day he will take his half-witted act too far and someone will finish him for good.
“Can’t wait for that day. Hope you go down in the same manner too you f***ing grub.
“You have children? A family? They must be so proud of you. Fly away now and get a real job. C***head.”
No matter how much you might dislike an athlete these types of messages are never okay.
Kudos to Horsfall and Kyrgios for having thick enough skin to not call out these types of messages on the regular.
Horsfall’s reveal comes in the wake of 16-time grand slam doubles champion Todd Woodbridge sharing a screenshot of a message he received on Instagram.
He wrote on Twitter: “Matt didn’t like my commentary alongside Jim Courier but this sort of behaviour is unacceptable and needs to be called out.”
The message read: “Just (an) old has been trying to stay in the limelight. Shame (the) heart attack didn’t end you.”
The troll’s abusive message was related to a heart attack Woodbridge suffered in late 2022 while working out at home.
His replies have been flooded with messages of support condemning the message.
